After hitting his first drive OB, he re-teed in compliance with the rules of golf. Then from 349 yards, holed out for birdie.
Tom has been playing golf for 30 years. Though many thought he would pursue a career in golf, he made his living as a professional musician and entertainer, performing all over the United States and Europe. He is currently the Musical Director for beach CHURCH (also known as Myrtle Beach Community Church). He was born in Lakeland, FL and lived there for 20 years. Then traveled the world for the next 10 years. He settled in the Myrtle Beach, SC area in 1990.
He first got into long drive in mid 2006 and fell in love with the sport. He continues to strengthen his swing and hopes to qualify for the World Long Drive Championship every year as a senior hitter.
